How to Prepare for Your Appointment

What you need to know before scheduling an appointment:

• All signers must personally appear before the notary.

• The signer must be acting willingly and be aware of what they are signing and agreeing to.

• All signers must have a valid unexpired state or government issued ID (Acceptable forms of ID.)

• A notary cannot certify vital records; birth, marriage, death or divorce certificates (copies or originals.)

• A notary is not authorized to perform marriage ceremonies in Virginia.

• Do not make an appointment if you are not feeling well or are Covid positive. 

• We will only make hospital visits if we can communicate directly with the patient.

• We do not speak Spanish and cannot use an interpreter to communicate with the signer.

• Travel fees are non-refundable once a trip has been made.

• Notary fees are $10 per stamp. Travel fees are $25 and up depending on the distance (Fees.)

• We accept cash, check, credit cards, PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, and Google Pay (Payment methods.)

• If you are paying in cash, you need to have exact change. We do not carry change.

• All signers must be present and on-time to avoid additional fees for wait time. We will wait up to 15 minutes. After that we will add $25 every 15 minutes. You also have the option to book 1 hour of time for a flat fee.
